OUR STORY

YOUR CLIMBING HOME

Canmore Climbing Gym is more than just plastic holds and plywood.
We are a community rooted in the Bow Valley built for locals, dirtbags, new climbers, and mountain dreamers alike.

WHY WE EXIST?

We started Canmore Climbing Gym back in 2020 with a pretty simple idea: give locals a place to climb, train, and hang out that actually feels like theirs.

LOCAL ROOTS

We’re not a big facility or a polished chain. We’re small, scrappy, and a little rough around the edges, just like the limestone outside. And that’s exactly the way we like it.

“Great gym, exactly what you want out of a climbing gym smaller space nothing fancy just to the point place to get in some reps. Good variation of problems, talented route setters that will push your skills.”

WHO YOU’LL FIND HERE

What makes this place special isn’t the square footage, it’s the people. You’ll find first-timers pulling on plastic for the very first time, dirtbags training between road trips, and alpine dreamers building strength for their next mission. Beta gets shared, sends get celebrated, and everyone’s stoked for each other, no matter the grade

COMMUNITY FIRST

Over the years, the space has become more than just walls and holds, it’s a gathering point. Queer nights, comps, random hangs after a long day outside… it all happens here.

THIS  IS  OUR  STORY,  BUT  REALLY,  IT  BELONGS  TO  THE  COMMUNITY  THAT  FILLS  IT.
