Beyond the Crux

Strength Training for Women-Identifying Climbers

Beyond the Crux is a 4-week strength training workshop created for women-identifying climbers navigating the cruxes of peri-, pre-, post-, or menopausal phases.

This course was built to offer something many climbers don’t often get: a supportive space to learn how strength training can support long-term climbing health, confidence, and performance—at any stage.

About the Course

Beyond the Crux focuses on building foundational strength for climbing, guided by the growing body of research around women’s health.

Over four sessions, participants learn:

  • The basics of strength training tailored specifically to climbers

  • How strength work supports joint health, bone density, and longevity

  • Practical tools to feel stronger, more confident, and more resilient on the wall

Just as important as the lifting, this workshop is about connection, learning together, sharing experiences, and training in an encouraging, judgment-free environment.
